CommandingWolf's Trip to Turkey Run State Park located in Marshall, Indiana

;) Friday, June 24th

We get Started 2 1/2 Hours earlier around 1:30pm CST. due to not having to work and getting a pin removed from my finger.
The Trip goes well the first hour of course it is hotter then hell about 98 degrees. After about an hour and a half We get to the concrete jungle (That would be Chicago). The traffic channel tells us that the temp here is about 135 degrees on the surface of the interstate. We see all kinds of breaklights Oh, Wonderful the interstate just turned into a parking lot . Well, We made our way out of Chicago in bumper to bumper traffic due to of course "The taste of Chicago" and a White Sox game in progress. After a three hour delay, we were finally starting to get to drive the speed limit. (And mind you, this normally would only take about an hour to reach Chicago) we had only three and a half hours left of this trip. We finally arrived at the campsite at about 9:15pm CST or so, Everyone was waiting on me and my clan. This trip which would normally take four and a half hours too just over 8 hours! We arrive hungry as we did not stop to eat thinking there has got to be something close to stop and grab a bite to eat, but that was wrong as these little Indiana towns close up at 10PM for food, and yes the bars stopped serving food also at this time. But, we survived on coleslaw, chips, and soda haha. Everyone was there to give us a warm welcome :) GOD BLESS, YA'LL!

;) Saturday, June 25th

This day was a day where everyone just kicked back and did their thing. Redishot3 and my daughter (snowball) went hiking for a total of about 6 hours this day. RWolfmanJeff and JamesJGrand went on a canoe trip, myself, blueeyedwolf65, geraf and her hubby went grocery shopping (Whoopie :)) and check this out the grocery store was 25 miles away from the campsite! Thats a ride for groceries. HueyPilotVN went to check out rummage sales with his mustang that goes easily 200mph. but hey he didnt get a ticket ;) Eag and callmered6 just kicked back and relaxed :) My boy, grouchywolf decided to give the fishing a try haha what a joke that was. First of all he got lost, then he found the spot and rolled yes rolled down the ravine to the site busting the side of his face open. Well, on his way back also lost for direction gets pulled over by the Marshall Indiana Sheriff asking him if the car was stolen because the car had out of state plates when he returned he stated "There is no way IM trying this fishing here in Indiana anymore!" haha was too funny :) After all retired for the evening myself and Blueeyedwolf stayed up till approximately 330am trying to get a pic of a racoon for the site. Well we finally did and she told the coon it could leave now after the pic and it decided oh hell no and started acting like a bull that was gonna charge. Well, the raccoons are nothing like up in Chicago, go boo and the Indiana ones run with their tail between their legs. Nothing Like the 40 pounders up this way stand up and growl like a bear at ya.

;) Sunday, June 26th

Most of the gang had left for home and their were a few of us "hardcore" campers left so as we were just about ready to leave the site RWolfmanjeff and Redishot3 came back to do one last trail. So redishot3, snowball, and JamesJgrand did the trail why Eag, I, RWolfmanjeff, and our families sat around and talked. We left at approximately 1245pm CST and arrived home at 645pm CST.
